Ballast holds financial and behavioral information, which is sensitive by nature. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the control you keep over it.
Who we are
Ballast is a product of Scira. Scira is the controller for the information described here. You can reach us at support@scira.ai.
What we collect
- Account details from sign-in: your name, email, and the authentication method you choose.
- The watchlist, and any holdings or balances you enter yourself.
- Behavioral signals from how you use Ballast: which symbols you open, how often you check, how you react on red and green days, and how you respond to nudges.
- Behavioral traits and a memory profile that Ballast builds to speak to your patterns.
- Basic usage and diagnostic data needed to run and secure the service.
How we use it
To run the companion, build your daily brief, and coach you toward consistency. Behavioral tracking is transparent and consensual. It is used only to help you see your own patterns, and never to push you toward a trade.
What we never do
- We do not sell your personal or behavioral data.
- We do not use your personal or behavioral data to train models.
- We do not share it beyond the providers needed to run Ballast.
Service providers
We use a small set of processors to operate Ballast: hosting and database infrastructure, a payment provider for Pro, market-data and research providers, a memory provider, and an email and notification provider. They process data only to provide their service to us.
Your controls
You can view, edit, and delete what Ballast remembers about you from inside the app, and you can delete your account. Deleting your account removes your profile and behavioral memory.
Retention
We keep your data while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymize it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is limited to what is needed to run the service. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Where we operate
Ballast serves people in the United States and India, and your data may be processed in those regions.
Children
Ballast is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy and will revise the date above when we do.
